Before Covid 19, I typically flew 30,00–40,000 miles a year, providing specialized EH&S training and consultation for a handful of clients located all across the U.S. and elsewhere. Having achieved the ripe young age of 65, I weighted the pros and cons and decided to drive rather than fly to my various destinations. Don’t argue with me!

There are certainly pros and cons related to flying. The adverse environmental aspects are non-trivial. Likewise, there are significant global socio-economic issues associated with not flying. This article and the link at the end to

Patent Application #63/199,410, filed 12/23/2020,

are not meant to address these issues. Others on Medium and elsewhere are doing a fine job with the subject.

A few months ago I published an article entitled “Dilution is the Solution to Pollution”. The article briefly discussed the history of EPA and OSHA and, in particular, OSHA’s approach to safety and health. The essence is a four-step approach to protecting folks from hazards and, in particular, airborne hazards.

  1. Eliminate the hazard
